What is Early Intervention?

  • A family-centered program, we target families with children, birth to school age, who are experiencing developmental delays/disorders or who are at risk of having developmental challenges.

  • Early Intervention is part of a team of parents and professionals who work together to design services responding to family identified priorities and needs.

  • Early Intervention helps to provide opportunities for parents to gain knowledge to make informed decisions about their child's learning, development and growth.

  • Early Intervention gives the support required to guide families toward recognizing and understanding the needs and goals of the family and incorporating them into the family’s daily routine.

  • Early Intervention is a service that supports family networking and community inclusion.
